The Ozarks Literacy Council promotes literacy education in Springfield, Missouri and the surrounding communities by offering free one-on-one training and a variety of literacy programs.
Considering all the things you read throughout your day-street signs, food and medicine labels, menus, applications, receipts and more-it's obvious that we spend much of our life reading.

The Ozarks Literacy Council (OLC) in Springfield, MO is proud to be a United Way agency and an affiliate with ProLiteracy Worldwide. To advocate literacy means to advocate education, opportunity, family and community. We take an active approach to literacy education through programs that promote the importance of reading and writing skills for all ages. We offer classes, presentations, and free books to children, encouraging illiteracy prevention.
